When we were putting gdgt together Peter and I knew there was no way to build the world's most comprehensive gadget site and social platform without a little help from our fellow gadget obsessives -- and damned if you haven't been coming through. Even though we've only been launched a few months, thanks to the enormous efforts of the gdgt community I'm happy to share that as of October there are well over 10,000 products in our database (and growing daily). But don't stop: plunder those archives and closets, and keep helping us plug in gadgets new and old. We want 'em all!
Also, if you've stopped by in the last few weeks, you might have noticed just how many new categories we have up on the site lately (including headsets and Bluetooth headsets, which we just launched). There are still so many more categories we need to add, though, so we're going to start pushing out weekly category releases to keep up the momentum. Keep an eye out, New Category Tuesdays are on!
Of course, I have to also shout out some of the other stuff we've been up to (like launching our personalized social gadget feed, friend finding / inviting, and a metric ton of other new things), but I'm sure you just want to chime in on new and future categories, so read on.
